peace for the world and love.
-Michael Jackson
If you love music and arts, you'll love Michael Jackson. There is no reason not to love the man.
My most-read posts, and so far the ones that have gotten the most negative feedback are posts about Michael Jackson. Though billions admire him, there is still a minority who believes in the tabloid junks.
meme
But let me focus on the reasons why I and the rest of the Moonwalkers in the world love Michael Jackson.
There are a LOT! Let me sum it up and give you 5 good reasons to love Michael Jackson.
5 Reasons To Love Michael Jackson
1. He's the greatest entertainer of all time.
Watch his live performances, listen to his songs, read his poems and reflections. He gives his 100% and more and you can see it.
Remove your prejudice when you watch him perform and you'll be in awe.
-Michael Jackson
2. He's a true humanitarian
During his Dangerous tour, he earned $100M. All of which went to Heal The World Foundation. When Pepsi paid for the damage when he got a 3rd-degree burn while shooting a commercial, he put everything to Michael Jackson Center for Burn Victims.
He bought an oxygen chamber for the victims.
He was listed in the 2000 edition of the Guinness Book of World Records for breaking the world record for the "Most Charities Supported by a Pop Star".
He had supported 39 charitable organizations either with monetary donations, through sponsorships of their projects, or participation in their activities.
He remains to be the most charitable person/artist in the Guinness Book of World Records.
When he shared his time and resources, he went big.
Neverland was not just created for his own entertainment, he created it for the children to enjoy.
In one taped conversation, he was heavily sedated and was talking to his doctor while waiting for sleep. He was still talking about helping the children of the world, saving them from pain and suffering.

I'm saying heal the planet, heal the world, save our children, save the forest. There's nothing wrong with that, right?
-Michael Jackson
3. He's got the most beautiful smile in the world.
Google says so.4. His empathy and the way he used his influence and fame.
He wrote songs about love, unity, peace, equality, saving the planet, saving the animals, saving the children, healing the world. In one taped conversation, he was heavily sedated and was talking to his doctor while waiting for sleep. He was still talking about helping the children of the world, saving them from pain and suffering.
If you haven't yet, read the wonderful collection of his poems and reflections in Dancing the Dream.
I've always believed that the real measure of celebrity success was not just how famous he becomes, but what he does with that fame and fortune.
-Michael Jackson
5. He broke barriers and records.
He was the first black artist to have been featured on MTV.His album Thriller is still the biggest-selling album of all time.
He showed the world dance moves that inspired all other dance moves.
His number of awards will speak for him (last count: 750).
Michael Jackson created history and was selfless enough to encourage everyone to do the same. He wanted to change the world for the better.
In all he did, he gave his all.
He wouldn't release a song unless he thinks it's perfect enough.
He wanted to give the best to his fans, which is evident in his achievements.
Yet despite his achievements, the guy remained grounded; never attacked another artist, was never arrogant.
The negative publicity and allegations put him into his ordeal but despite it all, he's given us his all and he never stopped giving.
Yet despite his achievements, the guy remained grounded; never attacked another artist, was never arrogant.
The negative publicity and allegations put him into his ordeal but despite it all, he's given us his all and he never stopped giving.
When you watch interviews of people who know him personally, they would say that Michael Jackson is the epitome of love.
I guess that's why many people hate him.
They can't stand Michael Jackson because he represents what they don't believe in or what they have a hard time grasping---love.
When you get to know Michael Jackson onstage and behind the camera, there really is no reason not to love him.

I didn't know what to think of him at times but you're right there are not many people that could rival his talent or the charity he did. I changed my mind about him when I saw an interview with Lisa Marie Presley. She admitted that she loved him and that we didn't know the real Michael. The press is not the way to know a person... ♡
ReplyDeleteYour right, he was a great entertainer and it is so nice to read this wonderful post about him.
ReplyDeleteI was a fan of his music
ReplyDeleteI can see you are obsessed with MJ :D
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't say he was the greatest performer ever. Nope, couldn't say that.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day. ☺
Hi, dear Lux! You will get no argument from me about Michael Jackson. In my long life I have never seen a better, more thoroughly prepared or more exciting performer, and that includes the Beatles, Elvis, Madonna or anybody else you care to name. Unfortunately, as time passes, people tend to forget an artist's greatness and they might think that the latest flavor of the month pop idol is better than Michael was. They don't take time to look at the evidence (Michael's body of work) or consider his charitable and humanitarian gestures.
ReplyDeleteI really appreciated the Michael quote you posted here:
<< I'm really very self-confident when it comes to my work. When I take on a project, I believe in it 100%. I really put my soul into it. I'd die for it. That's how I am. >>
We can all learn from Michael's example. Give 100% at all times. Put your entire soul into it. In doing so, you too can achieve greatness.
actually i like the younger version of Michael jackson...
ReplyDeletei love Michael

I agree that Michael Jackson was a fabulous entertainer. I also know that no one is perfect... no one. I do not know if the things the tabloids wrote about him are true because I was not there. But I do have questions. The answers will never be available.
ReplyDeleteHe was also a big video game and comics fan. Stan Lee said he wanted to buy Marvel once
ReplyDeleteThat smile is really contagious. Forwarding this to my cousin who's a big MJ fan like you :)

I agree with you that he was an amazing performer. I never saw him in person- but his shows and dances were always spectacular. I had no idea about his place in the world record books. That is impressive and very powerful. Thanks for sharing!

I really enjoyed reading through this. I knew he was generous but didn't realize he held Guinness records for it. It's sad that so much misinformation is mixed in with the truth. Glad you are trying to dispel some rumor.

This is a beautiful tribute. I was not aware of what a true humanitarian he was.
ReplyDeleteHe was a great performer, for sure. We need to separate that from the personal stuff. I think he had some issues...but most of us have no idea what really went on. We just go by what we hear.

There are great reasons to admire Michael Jackson. Many of us know only that he danced and sang perfectly but his help and support for the world remains unnoticed by many of us. Thank you for making believe that he has the reason whom we must look for. Hope you're doing great. Do Great. Regards. Take Care. :) :) :)
ReplyDeleteMJ was on a roll when I was really young, so I didn't know much about him before your posts, except for his most famous songs. Thank you for sharing! It's nice to see how many people can see beyond the media manipulation :)

Something to think about!
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing Lux
Blessings to you
When I was a kid and he was a kid, I liked him. as we grew older, we grew apart.
ReplyDeleteIt's a pity he left so early,God must have love him more than us.
ReplyDeleteThe answers are available and they are everywhere, just not in tabloids. Read his books, read the FBI report, read Geraldine Hughes book, read what those close to him have say about him. His last words before he died, under heavy sedation were about how he wants to build a hospital to help children because he feels their pain. Do you really think under heavy sedation before he died, he would talk this purely if he was an evil human being? He could have said absolutely anything. Yet those were his last few words.
ReplyDeleteFantastic piece. You nailed it. He was the most compassionate & charitable person, amongst all other things of course! ;)
