Some life lessons you learn by simply observing the way others live, by reading books, listening to talks or by being told straight to your face by someone wiser.
Most life lessons come from first hand experience, which needless to say, those you learned the hardest way.
Often, we take things for granted that we fail to see their value until it's too late.
Here are 10 of those random life lessons that may be trivial, mostly overlooked or common knowledge for some, but are helpful nonetheless.

Ahhh another great post! We are learning lessons every day, I mean the same lesson could be learnt million times in different ways and in different circumstances. Take care and have a lovely day! Liuba x
ReplyDeleteAhh... number 5. It doesn't necessarily have be about love. Stuff happens in life that can just break every fiber of your being and no ones gonna cry with you
ReplyDeleteI have to bookmark this page. I agree with all of these points. I'm trying to master the act of listening to what the other person is not saying. Love reading this.

I am a lifelong learner. I love that this is included!
ReplyDeleteAll the points are great but number 10 is my favorite. I am always trying to learn new things. It doesn't have to be the most important thing -- sometimes it is just learning the names of the characters in the book series your granddaughter is reading or the name of each of the Little Ponies!
ReplyDeleteLooking interesting!
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week-end!

Great quotes and very motivational. I love the last one. The world is always changing and we need to keep on learning to keep up.
ReplyDeleteGreat lessons, something everyone can read into for their own situation too. <3
ReplyDeletewow... these are really powerful lessons... tagos talaga lahat eh ... thanks for this uplifting post.. you just made my day today ...
ReplyDeletethose are all true! Very much so!
ReplyDeleteThe truth I learned is that you don't have to change in order to be loved... that everybody deserves to be loved just for being them... no need to be richer, hotter, slimmer, younger. taller..... funnier....
Great lessons - each of them being so important!
ReplyDeleteSunshine and smiles to your weekend, Lux!
Great! Each one is true ,amazing Post!
ReplyDeletekisses <3
For being young you are very wise - good post Lux! It took me a long time to learn many of these. I think I'm still learning.
ReplyDeleteby the way looking forward to your August posts on Michael.
ReplyDeleteAmazing post and very true.
ReplyDeleteI love all of your posts so much! This is yet another great one. #5 is on of the most important things I need to learn over and over again. Self pity will not help you at all and the world frankly does not care about your struggles or pain, sad but true!

Hello,
ReplyDeleteFabulous post. Every single point you have listed contain immense wisdom.
For example the first point. Yes, we are always looking for something better and we are not satisfied with what we have. At the same time we fail to see that many other people envy what we have and would do anything to have what we have. Perhaps novelty wears of with use and therefore we want something else which we think will give us better satisfaction or more happiness. However satisfaction and happiness is short lived because happiness comes from within and nothing or no one else can make us happy unless we want to be happy.
Is it necessary to have things to make us happy and satisfied? Some people are happy with minimum things for them to get along in this life where as there are innumerable who want to have more and more and yet not satisfied. For instance, the other man’s wife is more prettier, or the other man’s car is betteror the other man’s house more grand or the other man’s dog is sweeter and so on.
You have clearly underlined the fact that we have every thing that we need to be happy and we don’t have to look for something else to make us more happy.
Looking for something else will only make us unhappy and inadequate.
I would have loved to dwell on each one of your fabulous points at great length.
Best wishes
Hi, dear Luxie! I have just returned from a one week blog hiatus. I needed to entertain a house full of family members who visited us from out of state. Thank you for waiting patiently for my return. I also want to thank you for continuing to support my blog in my absence and for leaving a nice comment for guest host Janie. We both appreciate it!
ReplyDeleteThese are all good life lessons. Many people like to run their mouths, engaging in small talk, or worse, constantly trying to prove they are right or that they are the smartest person in the room. I prefer quiet people who are good listeners and only speak when they have something worthwhile to say. Everyone has a right to experience upsets w/o others judging or condemning them. An angry person is hurting inside and instead of shouting them down or avoiding them, we can choose to help them by acknowledging their anger and eliciting specific information to get to the root of the problem. Every new day is an opportunity to live, to learn and to love.
Brilliant tips, Lux! My favourite is #4!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely beautiful post, Lux. Yeah, an angry person truly does suffer from a hurt soul.
ReplyDeleteLove this a lot. Happy Monday dear! :)

Hi lux, this is really a true and very valid post here. I'm learning from here and i made me question my life as well as to how i actually learn everyday. :)
ReplyDeletefor me, as a church worker, i learn to hear and understand people even if it's hardest to understand them. :)
i love No. 1, 2 and 3 list, as these are the shows that i saw as well, from 1, to that heartbreaking moment of groot who seldom talks and that heartbreaking scene of no. 3 in the notebook, also no.4, those people that we love hurts us most. True indeed!

Great Post. My life lesson I learned is I am not the Holy Spirit and God does not love me best in relationship to my husband. I loved your post, your neighbor at the weekend brew. Diana
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with all of these! It made me think twice and realize so many things while reading this.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice day! :)

I read a quote once that said, "You've never truly missed someone unless you've sat next to a person you love, knowing you can never be together." Something like that. I had that situation in my younger years and it was TOUGH! But I found out later I was better off without him...the internet has taken away our ability to wonder about the one that got away. Often we know they turned out to be not such a good fish, after all!
ReplyDeleteGreat points to ponder. Thank you for sharing at The Weekend Brew.
ReplyDeleteVERY interesting thoughts. There is a lot to consider with each one. Thank you for sharing with us here at Tell me a Story. Find someone you can respect, love and commit to and a person who will do the same for you.
ReplyDeleteThese are all so true :) I think that when we are hurt especially it's best to try and get on with our lives

These are incredibly important lessons, Lux! Thanks for the reminders. I'm working on number 9 right now. My hubby and I are about to celebrate our 15 year anniversary. We're still learning about and figuring out how to respect each other's flaws :).
ReplyDeleteSooooo true!! love these!!
ReplyDeleteI think one of the lessons I learned this year is that my partner will always be flawed. I've come to accept that fact <3

I love reading them all ten and learn from there:). My life of passion is biggest than my life of fashion is. Fashion is come and go but life is there with me every day, however, respect, kindness, love, caring, being honest is the best of my all......
ReplyDeleteWish you a peaceful into week:).

Great life lessons here! I know one I learned the harder way was that to care for myself is not the same as to be selfish! :)
ReplyDeleteGood choice of statements Lux,
ReplyDeleteGreat life lessons. Thanks for sharing them at TGI Saturdays.
ReplyDeleteI have to agree with this list completely! It is hard to keep all of them in mind all the time, but they are truthful. People will be flawed and are allowed to be hurt as well. Especially the point about listening to what they are not saying as well.
ReplyDeleteOhh Lux these are great!! Very very true! Thanks for reminding us! ♥
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Small victories Sunday linkup party. Please join again.
ReplyDeleteGreat advice, Lux and as always, love all of your videos! Hope you have an amazing weekend :) Blessings from #bloggercaregroup
ReplyDeleteIncredible truth and also very wise..
ReplyDeleteAwesome life lessons, especially #1 and #8...the last though is a difficult one to learn.
ReplyDeleteI really like #10 as well. As long as we're continuing to learn we can continue to grow as individuals. Thanks for sharing, Luxon! #BloggerCareGroup
ReplyDeleteThese are great :) Especially love #2 & #3.
ReplyDeleteYou picked some great gifs to accompany the lessons.

Your lesson # 5 is the hardest one that I have learned. I say that moving on is really an art for it takes some creative efforts to really get over it. But afterwards, I felt refreshed, renewed as if I can take any blow that life can throw to me without breaking down.
