Overcome Failures
Failure is a topic many people---myself included---can easily relate to. How many times have I failed in life? I lost count.
Bruised. Battered. Badly wounded. Scarred for life. Not so different from most of you, I presume. But hey, here we are. Still standing. Still smiling.
What keeps me going?
Bruised. Battered. Badly wounded. Scarred for life. Not so different from most of you, I presume. But hey, here we are. Still standing. Still smiling.
What keeps me going?
I'm too stubborn to let life knock me down.
I chose to be happy a long time ago. That, and God's grace. Mostly His grace.
You know who else is an expert in overcoming failures? My friend Ifeoma.

If one fails then they are at least trying. So many just throw in the towel. I think you're doing just fine.

ReplyDeleteThe opening quote to this post is perfect and something I wish I had read a long time ago! I also love how you mention 'choosing' happiness, because it truly is a choice and one we can make at absolutely any time, regardless of how many times we fall down :)

ReplyDeletei appreciate your honesty about failure, and your perspective on it. it's always refreshing to read your insights. i've failed often too, and it's emotionally scarring, but it's definitely part of the experience of being human ;)

Awesome book giveaway. I have several get-back-on-your-feet stories, but the most recent one was after this car accident. I was scared I would have to give up writing because of the pain from sitting for only 20 minutes at a time. After 4 months of therapy, I still get pains, but not like before. A whole 6 to 8 hours at the computer is doable. We'll chalk that one up to a phenomenal physical therapist, and a determination not to be beaten.
ReplyDeleteI like your attitude! Well said. And I hope Ifeoma's book reaches all the hearts needing desperately to hear it.
ReplyDeleteIm like, wow, another uplifting book free for everyone. Im happy, wish that more artists publish these kinds, not those trashy and just so-so stuffs just to earn money.
ReplyDeleteThose who have never failed never lived. Failure is the mother of success.
ReplyDeleteHi, Lux!
ReplyDeleteThis book will be a useful guide and tool for anyone struggling to regain their footing after taking the blows that life tends to administer.
My best back-on-my-feet story was hitting the wall in my job in my hometown while at the same time having a long term romance blow-up in my face. I moved 850 miles away, started over and built a new life.
Thanks, Luxie!
I love books like these, and was actually looking for something to read on my vacation next week. It's something I would love to read more of, so I'm buying it!
