Dear Faithful Blog Followers,
THANK YOU!
You don't know how thankful I am that you let me into your everyday (or so) schedules. For the times you drop by and waste a minute or two to check my posts from trivial to deep, personal ones.
For every kind and sweet comments you leave (even those who only leave copy pasted comments or a generic "Great post", "Thanks for sharing", "This is nice" no matter what the topic is.)
For the concerned ones who would send me an email or DM to let me know they couldn't leave a comment because of some error or that something's wrong with my page. Or letting me know how much they appreciate what they read or that I can count on them to support me.
For the interactive ones who answers my calls to action.
Especially to those who have been faithful blog followers since I started.
Thank you.
We were strangers, I became your fan, and now considers you as friends. I feel like I know you through your blogs and through the comments you leave here. I feel like I have friends and families around the globe and I told myself that if I ever get the chance to visit your countries, I hope to catch up with you over coffee (or tea).
Forgive me
My dear ones, I apologize for the times you come here and expect a good, uplifting post from me and find sponsored posts instead. I try to still incorporate the usual "personal" touch in each. Please understand that this girl here is a freelancer and that this is one of the ways to earn a living. This girl's gotta earn some dough, right? Gotta turn that passion into profit, and hopefully never lose the purpose along the way.
Business bloggers advice to stick to a genre because a confused visitor will automatically leave and not come back. So, I thank you for not getting tired of checking on me even when you can't predict what's waiting for you in my little space.
Thank you that whether I write something personal---my heartaches and travels---general, or feature a product or service, or introduce you to a friend, you still choose to stick around.
I'm just a girl who finds writing therapeutic since time immemorial, but you affirmed to me that this is my life purpose, and now you're helping me earn a little profit through your visits.
I know Thanksgiving is still a few weeks from now, but I want to express what this grateful heart contains.Come, journey with me...
Sure I haven't posted a viral article but it's enough to know that somehow, I touched people's lives in the littlest way I do.
I hope that in the coming years, as I continue to pursue this "penniless" passion (so others say), you'd still be there for me. As I will always be here to make sure I serve my purpose: to make you feel less alone.
Dearest
Yours,
In Our Darkest Hour
In My Deepest Despair
Will You Still Care?
Will You Be There?
In My Trials
And My Tribulations
Through Our Doubts
And Frustrations
In My Violence
In My Turbulence
Through My Fear
And My Confessions
In My Anguish And My Pain
Through My Joy And My Sorrow
In The Promise Of Another Tomorrow
I'll Never Let You Part
For You're Always In My Heart.

ReplyDeleteI saw a link to this post at A Proverbs 31 Wife Link party. I relate to this, as my blog is a little bit of this and that and not just one topic. I am sure I have confused some readers, but then there are the ones that stick with me. Hope you have a wonderful week! - Rebekah
ReplyDeleteBloggers really bring support and happiness to each other oftentimes even though we don't know each other
ReplyDeleteThank YOU! I know I don't comment much, but I love when I see one of your posts appear on my screen. I enjoy every post, no matter what the content. The reason? Hi, Lux!
ReplyDeleteThis is an excellent post because it is an honest one and it invites your readers to express themselves honestly. While it is true that I am turned off by sponsored posts and usually skip over them w/o commenting, especially when the topic is products and services for women, I completely understand when young bloggers use them as a source of income.
Posts that are of greatest interest to me are the ones that come straight from your mind, heart and fingertips - posts that reveal who and what you are, show us what your life is like there on the other side of the world and take us along on your travels.
I am very grateful that you support my blog, SDMM, and I encourage you to take a little more time to address the topic, listen to the music (at least a few seconds per song) and express more when you comment. As you know, I don't leave Twitter tweet comments on your posts and I most respect bloggers who take the time to write high quality comments that contribute new information to the discussion.
Blogging is one of the joys and miracles of our modern times. It is an opportunity, a chance for us to expand our horizons. It brings together people of all ages and backgrounds from all over the world. I would like nothing more than to have you as a close, genuine friend in the coming years. It takes commitment. I am committed if you are.
Thank you, dear friend Lux, and enjoy the rest of your week!
A great post indeed. The blogland is a wonderful place, many nice people around. Even if it is penniless.
ReplyDeleteAs a friend and fellow blogger- I SO understand and relate to this post! We form deep connections, don't we?
ReplyDeleteBlogging for me....well, it's not about the money b/c I don't even know how to advertise, and even when bloggers do, I don't imagine it's a whopping huge amount of money. :)
Nope. It's the heart connections.
And I'm so blessed to have connected with you, Lux. Thank you for doing what you do.
One more little thing--when I first started blogging (a little over 5 years ago) fear gripped me. How in the world would I come up with stuff to write about? But it comes almost like manna from heaven, doesn't it?
So gratefully,
Julie~~
Lovely thoughtful post, nice words from Michael Jackson too!

Thank you, I do find your post uplifting and helpful, especially during those down time, thank you!
ReplyDeleteEvery blogger put a lot of effort on their posts, the least that people can do is to take the time to read it, specially if it takes less than 5 minutes.
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time I read your blog, but I will be back for more for sure.
Have a wonderful day doll,
❤ Johanna.

Isn't it crazy the way a blog (and the readers that find their way to it) carve out a little niche in your life? It still surprises me when I think about the scope of it! :)

Lux,
ReplyDeleteNo need for an apology. Your posts are a bright and sensitive space. Your honesty and sincerity are what we appreciate. We are happy to follow your journey.
You don't need to feel apologetic about it. This is your space. This is so thoughtful of you to thank you're fellow bloggers/friends.

Haha "great post" "nice" :P I'll agree, I do that too.. When I don't have time. But some of the blogs/posts do catch my attention then I stop and read. A lot also depends upon the arrangement of pictures, font type & size, colors etc. So I find your blog very clean and well oriented. That's the reason I read most of posts :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Blogging!
Thank you for your lovely comment on my earlier post :D

And thank you Lux! From a fellow blogger, I don't know you personally but so many times you have taken time out of your day to visit and comment on my humble blog. Your corner of the internet is always inspiring to visit too :)
ReplyDeleteI love reading your thoughtful posts. Your appreciation of even the short generic comments is sweet. You've no need to be forgiven, after all, not everyone blogs solely for their own enjoyment / expression for free. Whilst I personally do not mix money and blogging I am totally understanding of those who do - love your blog and love the poem by Michael Jackson you included at the end of this post.

Hello Lux, I'm one of those who are so proud to be reading and following your blog. What you're sharing here gives an affirmation that it is possible to go through life's challenges and difficulties, and still emerge to be a better person. There wasn't any moment that I don't get enlightened after visiting your blog.
ReplyDeleteIt is inspiring to know that your simple way of venting your emotions and thoughts has turned into a passion and calling that bless others. One of your posts that stuck with me is "3 Major Lessons to Bring In the New Year," that I read in 2014 when I first discovered your blog.
Thanks also for reading my blog and for always taking the time to encourage with your kind comments!
I don't blame you for accepting sponsored posts hun, as you said, you have to earn a living somehow :)
